Christchurch Response
We’d like to extend our sympathy to all members of the Christchurch who have lost friends and family members in the latest Christchurch Earthquake.
Our Christchurch team was very lucky in that their families are safe and sound, in the short term they have been working flat out to help others in the community with essential services.
In the medium term the most effective way we can help the community is to help with Internet and Phone Services for those in need. The collaboration and support from all members of the Internet Industry has been fantastic, working together and putting competition aside to get people back in contact with friends, family and business.
With many businesses unable to return to offices and finding it hard to keep phones, email and other important communications open, Voyager is a group of knowledgable IT guys who are able to help. If we’re to focus on one thing we think it should be helping businesses to communicate with each other and get back on their feet, working remotely and from home.
Recent information indicates that businesses within the “Four Aves” are unlikely to return to their offices for considerable time, and it’s probably time to make the call to continue livelihoods from other locations.
